Quick Tips: Love The Way You Live

Every home should be a haven. A place of serenity for you and your family. Make peace with yourself and learn to love the way you live:

What I Love: Name activities that nurture – like dinnertime or bedtime reading.

What’s Missing: Name activities you’d like to introduce – like game night or a stress free way to get your kids to school.

Next Steps: Honor and contain the things that work. Grow one new activity that will foster the relationship you have with the place you call home.

  1. Have her pick out clothes with you the night before. And have her bag ready by the door. Untangle her hair the night before as well so you don’t have to fuss so much in the morning.
    (Mine had unruly hair!)

  2. she’s 5. those are great ideas. I think I spoil her. I like to pick her clothes out but your way teaches independence. Thanks!

  3. How old is she? The best thing I ever did was to teach my daughter how to pick out her own clothes, dress herself and pack her bag. Those were her tasks; mine were to make her breakfast, lunch, get us out the door on time and walk her safely to school. Tag team. We started this at 5; she’s 8 now.

  4. Yoga in my living room. Very nurturing. And coffee and the paper in bed on Sundays. I’d love a stress free way to get my daughter off to school in the morning. Anyone have any suggestions?
